Worship is the covenant privilege of every believer.
Corporate worship is an opportunity to celebrate God together as the body of Christ while personally encountering the presence of the Lord. (Ps.134:1-2 John 4:23-24)
Prayer is the vital covenant connection of the church with the Lord. Through corporate prayer and intercession we become a community of believers that uphold one another before God through both declaration and petition. (Ephesians 6:18 Luke 18:1 Colossians 1:3)
The Bible provides covenant substance for the believer it is alive and relevant today. The Christian life is founded in Christ and based on God’s Word. Kingdom principles for daily living are expressed through the biblical narrative of God’s heart toward His people. (1 Peter 2:2 2 Timothy 3:16 Colossians 3:16)
The Anointing of God provides the covenant energy for service in the kingdom of God. Because our primary calling is to know God; we embrace the spiritual disciplines that produce His presence in our lives. (Psalm 92:10 Hebrews 1:9 2 Corinthians 1:21 Luke 4:18-19)
Relationship development is the result of covenant interaction in the Kingdom of God. Relational formation is vital in the body of Christ. The Christian life is meant to be a shared experience. Biblically solid and healthy fellowship builds lasting relationships that give expression to the local church. (Acts 2:42-47 Proverbs 27:17 1 John 1:3-4)
Discipleship is realized covenant development. The making of disciples is mandated in the Great Commission. A disciple is a learner and a follower possessing a servant’s heart. Discipleship springs from relationships, not a program. Thus the small group process provides an atmosphere for the tangible expression of growth and accountability. (Mark 3:13-15 Romans 12:5)
Mission evangelism, as our covenant charge, is the manifestation of God’s character in us and the reflection of God’s love through us towards the lost. God commands everyone everywhere to repent. It is the responsibility of the church to present the gospel to a lost and dying world. We are to be globally and locally centered in our mission to win the world to Christ. (Matthew 28:19-20 Luke 19:10 Mark 16:15-20)
My charge as Pastor is to be a servant and not to be served and to uphold these core values as unto God. (Isaiah 42:1-7 Isaiah 49:1-7)
