Pastor Marvin D. Hightower was installed on October 10, 2010.
He accepted his call into the ministry in 1996 under the Pastorate of Rev. Mark McConnell. Pastor Hightower was Baptized with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues in 1997.
In August of 2000, he and his family moved to Columbus, Ohio where he attended World Harvest Bible College. Today known as Valor Christian College.
Upon graduation, he served under the leadership of Pastor Rod Parsley at World Harvest Church. Pastor Hightower served as a lay leader and deacon for over 10 years.
At the direction of the Holy Spirit, he was led to Liberty Church where he stands on the authority of God’s Word and believes in the exaltation of God’s Son and moves in the power of God’s Spirit.
Pastor Hightower has been married to Minister Loreece for 30 years and they have two children, Ashley and Mylah.
Community Activist
Immediately after returning to Peoria, Pastor Hightower joined the Peoria NAACP and became an active member. He has served as an Executive Committee member and as 1st Vice President for the last four years and was elected President in 2016. He also serves as a Board Member of Upgrade Service Corp., Board Member of the Central Illinois Interfaith Alliance, member of The Peoria Area Diversity Employment Action Team (PADEAT), and on the Executive Committee for Alignment Peoria.
Associate-Minister
Loreece Hightower was born and raised in Peoria. She is the wife and help meet to Pastor Marvin D. Hightower. Loreece and Pastor Marvin have been married for 30 years. She Co-Ministers beside her husband at Liberty Church of Peoria.
Loreece accepted her calling into the ministry and preached her first sermon on December 13, 2015 and was licensed a year later. She sat under the leadership and training of her husband through the Holy Spirit and was ordained as a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ on September 23, 2018.
Loreece allows the Holy Spirit to use her to encourage others and loves to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Pastor Marvin and Minister Loreece are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Ashley and Mylah.
